18th Century Queen Anne dolls have always intrigued me. They sure do have character. And sometimes a real attitude. I just can't resist their little Mona Lisa faces!
I use only supplies from my various stashes or recycle items found at the thrift store. Fabrics and materials are not always of natural fibres, but they look the part. The ladies wear researched costumes, rather than historically hand constructed clothing.
My cloth Queen Annes and their garments are not antiqued nor distressed to make them 'real'. Surely there was a time when dolls were brand new surprises ready to be loved?
Please join me for more on creating the 'babies' and their wardrobes. And feel free to use some of my techniques. Current work is displayed in the Gallery and the Blog documents my ongoing experiments and progress.
